Manual machining

7 off Vertical & Horizontal Milling Machines
A comprehensive range of milling applications is undertaken using our manual milling capability. All machines have an extensive range of tooling and supporting equipment including Digital Readout on all Axis.

7 off Centre Lathes
Manual turning is undertaken utilising our extensive range of centre lathes. These lathes can accommodate up to 570mm diameter x 1400mm between centres, with several lathes having Digital Readouts on both axis and copy turning attachments available.
Grinding Machines
A wide range of Surface Grinding machines with up to 1500mm x 500mm capacity. Cylindrical Grinding machines capable of swinging 315mm diameter x 1500mm length. Tool & Cutter Grinding is also catered for within the grinding facility.

Broaching & Gear Cutting
Broaching has become a specialist area for Tridan with Splines, Squares, Hexagons and Key-slots all catered for from our extensive range of tooling. From the smallest key slot to the larger splines, broaches up to 6 feet long and requiring up to 20 tons force can be accommodated.
Gears 350mm diameter x 5 DP can be cut on our 'Sykes HV 14A' gear cutting equipment.
Assembly and Test
Both large assembly projects and smaller electro-mechanical instrumentation assembly is undertaken by Tridan. The smaller assemblies are carried out within our air-conditioned assembly area. A wide variety of test equipment is available, including pressure testing, static balancing and water test tank facilities for marine applications.
