Langham Industries was founded in 1979 with the purchase of Stone Manganese Marine from Stone Platt Industries Plc. The group has subsequently grown and now comprises a total of 15 companies engaged in ship building, marine engineering, casting manufacture, port operations and precision engineering services.

Other Group companies, including those in Singapore and South Africa, manufacture and service marine propellers as well as industrial and aerospace fasteners and marine winches,

Tridan Engineering Ltd became part of the Langham Industries Group in 1989, when the group made the decision that a specialist precision engineering machinist was required to carry out the machining of non-ferrous castings produced by the group foundry in London. This association has developed over recent years and several contracts, including aerospace projects, have been successfully jointly undertaken.
